KIMMSWICK, MISSOURI HEATING AND COOLING SERVICES
Theodore Kimm bought the land that would later become Kimmswick on October 4, 1850, from Captain George Washington Waters. He then founded the town in 1859. By 1867, the small town was flourishing. Theodore Kimm died on February 5, 1886, in Switzerland. Kimmswick’s city hall was built seventeen years later. In 1880, a large amusement park opened in Kimmswick and attracted thousands of visitors. After it was opened, showboats started to come through the town before they finally stopped coming in 1933. Life started to slow down in Kimmswick once cars became the main source of transportation.
